ABOUT THE DOJO
Shanghai Aikido Shen Dojo was founded in 2014 and is a recognized dojo of the Aikikai Hombu. It is led by Dojo-cho Xiang Yongming (Aikikai 5th Dan), with French Dominique Rascle Shihan (6th Dan) serving as supervising Shihan.
Centered on the transmission of authentic Aikido technique, the dojo also adapts to the physical condition and training needs of modern practitioners, offering adult, children's, and private courses. Since its founding, students have come from 9 countries and regions, many earning dan grades through Aikikai Hombu examinations.
International Recognition
The Aikikai Foundation of Japan is the world's largest Aikido organization, with influence spanning over 130 countries and regions. Shen Dojo is a recognized official organization under the Aikikai Hombu.
COACH TEAM
A strong teaching team, personally guided by Aikikai-recognized senior shihan.
Shen Dojo's supervising Shihan. He began Aikido in 1982, training under Christian Tissier Shihan (Aikikai 8th Dan) and deeply influenced by Seijiro Endo Shihan (8th Dan). He teaches at two of the leading dojos in Lyon, France, and serves as Vice-President and Technical Director of the Rhône-Alpes Aikido League.
Awarded 6th Dan by the Aikikai Hombu in 2016 and granted the title of Shihan by the Doshu in 2023, his four decades of practice and teaching give his technical system both orthodoxy and an international perspective, providing long-term guidance to Shen Dojo's instruction.
Founder and Dojo-cho of Shen Dojo. He has practiced Aikido for over twenty years, training under Mr. and Mrs. Nogura (6th Dan) and Chen Deming (5th Dan), and continues to study under Dominique Rascle Shihan, earning his internationally certified 5th Dan in 2024.
He founded Shanghai Aikido Shen Dojo in 2014 and has since devoted himself to teaching and promoting Aikido in China. Known for a rigorous yet patient approach, he emphasizes safe fundamentals and ukemi, guiding many beginners step by step onto the path of Aikido.
